Château Vaudois, the mecca of Wineyards in Provence in a prestigious setting two minutes away from Roquebrune Golf Resort, opens its doors to share with you its culture, wine heritage and tell you about the history of its wines.
Château Vaudois is the story of a family sharing the same passion for wine. In 1988, Marie & Gerard Delli-Zotti buy an old deserted vinyard at Roquebrune sur Argens. Their children Christelle & Jonanthan were interested in the name of a place called “Le Vaudois” and go on to discover that the Fournel valley is where the itinerant preachers of the Vaudoise religion (created in 1173 in Lyon by Pierre Valdes) were hosted in 1205. Its past is symbolic and motivates the whole family to bring the domain back to life. Located on the Maures hills, between Saint Raphael & Saint Tropez, Château Vaudois is blessed with remarkable soil, and a superb site, overlooking the Mediterranean.
Its southeast exposure provides constant sunshine . The shale earth being permanently moist, and the fact that the Wind blows constantly preserves the vineyards from diseases and therefore significantly reduces the use of pesticides. These elements were all taken into account when choosing the grape varieties Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Merlot, Viognier, Rolle & Tibouren to create our atypical wines, Cotes de Provence & Pays des Maures.
There are eight cuvées in total: Château Vaudois in red & rosé, V for Vaudois in rosé & white and Vaudois Prestige that gave the domain its reputation; Cuvées Christelle, Marie & Jonathan. A sparkling rosé named Perles de Marie, a Marc de Provence named Le Baron and an olive oïl called Temptation complete the range of products produced on the domain.
